My house is on a slab so there s no basement or crawl space.

The other one said they only fill the actual vents.
What should i do if i see water in my central heating cooling floor air delivery vents.
I ran a french drain years ago.
I am interested in filling and sealing off all of the ducts in the slab an using only.
A pump kicks on and water runs from the water heater and into the floors.
One was 5700 the other was 4500.
There is water in the air intake vent that is several feet below the slab and is filling with water.
Because an air duct routed through a floor slab is more likely to contain moisture from condensation or water from leaks or floods that moisture combined with normal organic dust and debris found in ductwork can increase the chances of mold contamination in slab ductwork.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
I had water in my floor vents after a heavy rain last summer.
Hello i m new to this forum and i was unable to reply to some of the other posts on this similar subject.
Any moisture in your floor boots indicates that water is or has been under the floor slab.
This can result in a least three undesirable things.
Our 1968 home in md has had water in the floor vents on and off for 20 yrs.
If you can see the numbers on the gauges in the photo the water going out is about 100 degrees and the water coming back is about 80 degrees.
We checked the water meter and there is no water leak in the plumbing system.
Water from the floors runs back into the water heater.
The 5700 said they would pour cement through all the floor ducts throughout the house.
Fill the trench with more 1 inch washed gravel until you are within 1 or 2 inches of the top of the trench.
First for some people this can trigger or aggravate allergic reactions which can vary from mild to severe.
You place a 1 or 2 inch layer of washed 1 inch diameter gravel in the bottom of the trench and then place a 4 inch diameter perforated pipe in the trench.
You can place pieces of sod over the gravel.
There are companies that can use thermal imaging cameras to pinpoint hot spots in the floor where a duct might be broken allowing you to cut into the slab at that point and make a repair.
Have gotten to estimates on running ducts through ceiling.
After a couple of days of the water being there it gets mildewy inside and extremely humid.
If it s rainy or snow is melting my heating vents in the floor fill with water.
