Water Inlet Valve Ice Maker Not Working

Water will not go inside the ice maker due to defective inlet valve or insufficient water pressure.

Water not reaching the ice cube tray could indicate a problem with the water inlet valve but not always. The valve requires at least 20 psi to function. The water valve supplying the icemaker is a key component of the icemaking system and it should be the first thing you check if the icemaker s performance is erratic or if the icemaker stops working. If the water pressure is sufficient use a multimeter to check for power to the water inlet valve.
