I found a puddle of water on the floor and my car is soaked. It sounds like there s water sloshing around inside the passenger door. I really wouldn t suspect a clogged tube because if it were then the water would most likely back up in the tubing and then spill inside the car over your head somewhere around the sunroof privacy panel. Water can enter the body of the door when it rains and generally drains out of holes in the bottom.

It may be clogged or disconnected. In my case i found the cause to be a kinke. Use airflow to clear out moisture. It happens every time it rains and my floor inside my car gets soaking wet.

If you haven t had any rain and you have water leaking onto the passenger s floor check your air conditioner drain or evaporator drain. Different signs of water intrusion wet carpet puddles in the footwell damp trim panels headliner patches etc. Water dripping out of the air conditioner drain onto the ground is totally normal. No matter how much you towel or vacuum off your car s surfaces any fabric and carpeting in your car as well as the chassis beneath will be damp to the touch.

Of course flooded cars can also be caused by car accidents that involve water. Cars that have poor or improper sealing can also experience flooding after a hard rain. Car door drains are small and can get clogged with debris sometimes causing water to slosh around inside the door cavity. Water dripping onto the floor of the car from the air conditioner is not.
