Some dishwashers can be connected to a hot water supply though. Xxxplumbdumbxxx wa i ve just had a new sears dishwasher installed i have 2 now in the kitchen the old one is hooked to the hot water supply line so that s the way i was going to hook it up i hired a plumber he said it hooks to the cold water supply he s already hooked it up i finally read the install book it says to locate the hot. Reconnect the hot water supply line to the new shut off valve.
